This restored 15th century coaching inn is situated in the heart of the small medieval city of Wells, by the cathedral green, just metres away from the ancient marketplace.
Situated in the city centre, the hotel is a great base from which to discover historic Wells and the surrounding areas of beauty and interest in Somerset. Bristol, Bath, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Clarks Village, Wookey Hole and Longleat are all close by.
The White Hart Hotel, together with Brufani's Restaurant, is now a well-established fixture in Wells, offering bed and breakfast accommodation, with a full cooked English breakfast included in the room rate. The hotel offer 15 refurbished en suite bedrooms, a large function and banqueting suite and a ground-floor restaurant. All of the rooms are individually decorated and many still retain some of the more interesting original historical features of the building, while simultaneously incorporating modern comforts and facilities.
The Harts Head Suite is the hotel’s self-contained conference and banqueting room and is situated on the first floor. October 2002 saw the completion of extensive renovations to the suite, resulting in one of the largest conference and banqueting suites in the area.
The suite is ideal for a wide variety of conference and meeting uses and can be set up in a boardroom, theatre, horseshoe or classroom-style arrangement. When set up in a theatre-style layout, the suite can accommodate up to 150 people. This formal meeting room includes audiovisual facilities, and the available conference facilities include a flip chart, overhead projector, projection screen, TV and video and fax and photocopier. The hotel also offers secretarial services, the services of a conference coordinator, free car parking, syndicate areas, cordials and mints. The large, light, airy room has large windows, offering plenty of natural daylight.
The facilities include an adjoining bar, which also makes the suite ideal for weddings, discos and large-scale parties, as well as smaller gatherings, such as dinner parties. The suite can accommodate up to 120 seated guests or 200 guests for a buffet or disco. There is a generous selection of competitively priced menus available for your event and the experienced staff can offer help and guidance with any wedding or other function. The hotel can also entertain smaller dinner parties of 30 to 40 guests.

Brufani's, the hotel’s own restaurant has a capacity of 45 and offers a wide-ranging à la carte menu, with ingredients selected and bought from local suppliers on a daily basis by the head chef. Diners can choose from such dishes as salad of avocado, melon and stilton served with a basil and honey dressing, sun-dried tomato and goat’s cheese tartlet, and poached salmon fillet with julienne of carrots and courgettes in lobster sauce.
The restaurant also has a specials board, with a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, which changes daily. The comprehensive wine list offers a selection of wines that have been specially chosen to complement your meal.
Since taking over the running of the hotel in 2000, the current owners have spearheaded a programme of refurbishments and improvements on the premises. One of the first areas to be given a makeover was the main restaurant and the bar, which were fully renovated and tastefully furnished to recreate the ambience of a traditional coaching inn. The restaurant features a real log fire, which is particularly welcoming on a chilly day.

Do not follow signs towards the City Centre, as this will lead you to a car park, from where there is no access to the hotel.
